I think others probably went the honda route as they are widely available and are now known to work properly. I would definitley give the DS throttle a try though. Dont see why it wouldnt work as long as you could get the cable setup properly.

 

You can use the same cable with the honda, it bolts right up, I'm not sure if the DS will bolt right up.

I would just try the spring mod 1st and you might be happy, if not then get a different throttle.
