PLEASE HEEEELLLPPP!!!!
Last night I was putting a new timing chain and tensioner in my DS. I completed everything ok then while putting everything back together, one of the cast studs on the clutch basket snapped off!!!! I was wondering if anyone out there has a clutch basket for the DS650......I am in desperate need. I talked to my local dealer and soonest they can get it will be almost two weeks, there are none on ebay and I have a big ride coming up in one week that I do not want to miss, so if anyone out there has a clutch basket PLEASE PLEASE let me know. Thanks!!!!!!!

It looks like you can get a new one here for about $50.00 and shipping. Here is the link.
www.ascycles.com/Illustrated_catalog/F650Funduro(97-99)/catalog_frameset.html
Scroll down the pictures on the left side until you see clutch assembly. It looks like you need part #2. Type in the part number in the blank up top for the price and to order. Hope this helps. D

Albabomb, I know the feeling
must not have a inlb tq wrench huh..... or you went more than spec.
Not to worry. You can simply use an easy out to get the remaining part of the stud out. I know it seems tuff, but work at it and it will come out.
OOPS... read it wrong. You broke off the actually casted piece of the backet... wow.
Yea, Mr. Neg's link might be your best shot.
Good luck.
I left the affore mentioned up so that others could possibly use the tip.
good luck Alba

you have one!!!! just so we are on the same page, I am talking about the piece that actually holds the clutch discs in place and then the pressure plate bolts into it with six bolts. I believe it is reffered to as a "dog". If you have one please let me know and we can do business....thanks alot I hope to hear from you soon.
