Changing Gears and Chain question
#1
Hi Guys... seems kind of quiet here lately so I figure now is about as good of time as any to ask.
I am swapping out my 530 for the 520 sidewinder kit.
Just curious if you have to pull the rear piece off the axle or can you swap gears with it left on ?
Also how hard will it be to break off the old chain with a link pin removal tool ?
Just trying to lighten up the rotateing mass ... un like the rotateing mass around my waist....
Hubs are next...
Thanks for any help...

If what you mean by the rear piece is the sprocket hub...no you can swap out the rear sprocket without removal of the hub (atleast with 530 sprockets). For the chain link removal...all you really have to do is grind off both of the pins on one side so that they are flush...then the side prys off with a screw driver and you can take the chain out.

Thanks DuneRider650,
I am running out of time to get the gears and chain swapped and was wondering how easy / hard it will be... I mean there are 6 pack jobs then there are 12 pack jobs....
Thanks again.
