i cant belive the DS got only 33 hp on the wheels
i think its like 43!
10x for the answer man
can anyone confirm his answer?
i think the ds got like 50-48 on the crank and like 40+ in the wheels
for the pred, it got less but almost the same...

Crank hp is rare in dyno's now, and atv-rear wheel hp varies as much as wheel/tire configurations as mentioned earlier.
Its the performance combination of torque and hp that really matters, and it sounds like you have the advantage at this point.
Dynos, dyno operators, test conditions all vary unless exactly the same, which is difficult to do and expensive.
He has a good engine though. I like yours better and its the original classic others copy from. Don't smart off to him though, since he can get performance parts half the price you can, ha-ha.

polaris was advertising 50 hp (crank undoubtedly) awhile back so that is probably right. I imagine the ds is in that same ball park with somewhere around 10 less to the wheels (40 +/-)

you just cant count on any dyno number because they vary so much from one to the next, depending on many thigns including the tire choice.
the only real question is what is the HP difference between the two bikes given the same dyno and conditions and tires.
the DS is slightly higher HP, but the predator is lighter on the track so the race stock for stock you would think to be close, but from what I've seen the DS's usually win
