not to act like i know what im talking about or anything but sea doos waverunner with supercharger 3 seater can not out run my honda aqua trax with turbo 3 seater i dont know what sea doos cc are but mine are the 1235. i thought super charger was supposed to out perform the turbo. im just as curios of putting one on my bike as the rest of you.

Both are superchargers. Turbos are a subset, that are thoretically more efficient since don't require marginal theoretical mechanical drain off engine. But sc's are immediate without lag, and can also have bypass systems for lower rpms so drain is undetectible. All superchargers can be set for torque and good gas mileage or high horsepower. Some type of efficient intercooling on either type is important which gives sea going vessels an advantage. Not only are superchargers more immediate, but they generally have a smaller area footprint and dont' have LAG.

But as to your question, there are an infinite amount of variables with both kinds. Take a picture of your engine and post it in your pictures in lowest resolution of you digital camera if you want it to post first time.

The more I think about the 3.62 Banshee, the more I think he just had a positive forced induction supercharger; since its a closer fit to performance and no one has proved otherwise what that blurr on the track was exactly. Turbos will have higher top ends and may wear marginally less on engine, but they are usually more complicated if combined with mapping programs. Probably similar costs minus EFI if applicable.

You can turn the boost down on either of them, but not sure how easy to do on turbo; or sc yet either; but it should be easier than remapping power curve, and should be able to be done by owners who can normally tune. The easier tune aspect alone should increase engine life difference well beyond marginal pully on engine. SC is really a performance jewel, but the intercooling will be critical. The only real hard part is finding one. And I've done the legwork on finding a custom one being currentlly developed. Maybe there's others, but I haven't heard of the first one yet.

And the owner has at least 3 different types of turbo's for the banshee, and SC is what he is developing for a range of bikes as his preference of performance enhancers.

I am not concerned about boats. Look in my pics and see the second BMW F800GS (vertical twin Rotax) 80+hp stock; after the already introduced F800ST. I wonder when DS800 vertical twin arrives? Its about time. Although its got EFI, the twin should handle it better than F650GS. The F800 will be a reliable stock machine with Big Bore DS stroked hp.

Superchargers tuned for torque and better mileage (or 60%+ hp increase if that turns you on) for DS650.

Rotax is turning on the performance 80hp+ stock. Torque and superchargers on F650 may be a good comparison (different power curves). But for a stock machine, wow, and it should last forever at 80+ hp stock.

Wait until the pictures are approved. I added the F800S drive train which shows the Intake Manifolds entering the engine at 60 degrees. Exactly what Sachs proposed in 2000 for F650 EFI. No wonder F800 will fly. The F650 EFI will do great on top end, but due to horizontal (carb) intake manifold engine design, it has lower power range flat spots. So all the technology is hitting at once. Two new alternatives: fast, reliable, and reasonable cost.

The playing field will be more level than it ever has been. The EFI research was 100% correct. Let's see how the supercharger research will pan out, as I am more confident of supercharger than the EFI research conclusions initially.
