why did you remove the pic of the spiderbike yjacket. i would not be ashamed to have it on my pics page. you seem highly inteligent but a real odd character. you throw these ideas out that sound good but then it seems like you get upset or angry when someone questions it. anyway i hope to meet you one day just to see what your really like.

has anybody considered or tried a VG turbo on a ds?
Good question Bus. As far as I know (not much about VG tubo's) a VG is very specialized to what it is running on. In other words I just can't go down and order a VG turbo with any AR I want like I can do with a standard fixed vane turbo.
I do know I don't like the adjustible rack type like found on the D-max. There has been problems with sticking racks on them. The Holset is a different story. Hell, even I could have designed that one!!!! So simple and such a good idea!!! For all I know they are one in the same but I don't think so.
Good question though Bus.

cummins is pushing this product hard. we are not running them yet. but it is coming down the pipe. I think its a good Idea. like you said, for a specific application. it might be a good way to go for a quad. I am all for eliminating lag. I would even concider one myself if I knew what would work. R & D time.

"If I built an engine for competition and money was no option I would do several things. 1, put it on alky. 2, put a turbo on it. 3, compound it with nitrous. 4, put it in the lightest frame I could get it in. Get that little midget dude on TV to ride it. (I apologize to any midgets that read that)"
Lol, That Gary Coleman would do anything for a buck nowadays!

Yes, I would suggest a different stroke for that combination if Gary Coleman was the pilot.........IMHO

Alkyhol will wash lubrication off of rings and overheat/crack them, so Methanol would be better: but is a toxic substance that can cause blindness, cancer, and eventually death. If DSNUT could just collect methanol in fuel cells while waiting in line in line for Supersize Saturated Fat Fries at McDonalds, he could strilke it rich behind every person with burnt holes in the seat of their pants (...swimin' pools, movie stars, ...).

And a (Lysholm) screw type supercharger for drag racing should be faster than any turbocharger, except they are very expensive. In the 1990's, they were outlawed from competition because they were so much more effiecient than other chargers. They are cool, efficient, and effect the whole range over 1K rpm. For street competition, they are still outlawed today since only use is competition due to cost.

Nitrous shouldn't have any effect on a well tuned screw supercharger, so that shouldn't be introduced at all. More effort towards optimizing burn flow cycle in combustion chamber and thorugh head should be expended.
