In order to obtain the speed record you have to be able to hold the speed for X distance. where as drag racers go fast and stop. that run wouldnt qualify though if he could control it on the straights it could set a new record

Dont believe that number because I didnt believe it either when they called it out over the p/a system. LOL!

I can say we ran a couple of 74mph passes at 4.1 seconds so I would think Eric was probably around the 80mph mark.

Average speed for a 3.96 is 51mph or do you subtract the reaction time so its actually average 57?

Choose, I do remember that announcer saying that speed. I think he might have had a few by the time he made that call!!!

That bike blue away the old 2 cylinder record. I believe its a Carecal twin cylinder motor. It was even faster in person.

The left lane wasnt giving mph and thats the side I ran 3.960 and 3.995 on. I ran 3.999 @ 81.16mph and 3.965 @ 80.21 in the right lane.

from the pics i looks like you had a tiny front sprocket (15 tooth?) and a large rear sprocket. how could you do eighty with that gearing and only shifting a couple times?
