Default Wheelbase???

After a 3 year abscence I am back to riding. I just bought a new 06 DS650 Baja. I had an 2000 before. There seems to be a few differences between them. The only one I'm not sure I like is it feels like the wheelbase is shorter. The rear of the bike does not track as well as my old one did. Did bomb shorten the swingarm??? If so can anyone tell me what years and models are affected. I might try to find an old one if that is the case and streach mine back out. Any info is helpfull. Thanks

Rob

It was in '03 or '04 (someone will correct me) but everything after has a 1.25" shorter swing arm. I know my '02 has the longer one. Your '00 was longer than your '06 for sure. They shortened it to lighten the front end.

Default Wheelbase???

thanks for the responses. I am going to due some more research. On another web site they show the wheelbase of the earlier ds's (2000-2002) to be 52 inchs. BRP shows the wheelbase of 05-06 to be 49 inches. I might evan have to find the guy I sold my 2000 to and take some measurements.
