ATV Alarm Systems

I think it is a good idea my boy's two little 90's came with alarms and remote on and kill switch I never set the alarm but the remote kill is nice incase they decide to get a little crazy. I don't see why you couldn't do the same for all of them. I hope it works for you. We haven't had the problem and hopefully don't but you never know when you stop some where what is going to happen.

I'll get her installed in a week or so, and after a month or two of hard punding we'll see how she does. Thanks for the input on your sensors Crash, I'll let you know how it does.
The cables and chains are great, and I'll still use them too when its practical.
Another cool feature of the remote is one place I ride is in a county where quads are allowed on roads, and we ride into town for lunch usually, and it would be so easy for somebody to push it away while inside eating.
But the main piece of mind will be at dune camp in utah and idaho - parked right outside my tent. I have just read so much about so many quads quietly getting pushed down the road from right outside people's rv's or tents while they slept.

Well I installed the alarm system, rode a few times and so far so good on sensor integrity. Have not hit dunes yet though, with lots of fast whoops, so jury is still out.
Installation went great though - if you install in the tool kit cubby then you are right there for battery power, and then right there in the wiring harness is the wiring going to the rear brake light switch on the back of the master cylinder - well there is your keyed power for voltage draw/tampering sensing, as well as the brake light wire for the blinker signal. It couldn't have turned out more convenient or cleaner. Mounted the red armed LED right above the brake light in the yellow strip of fender plastic - pretty trick really.

we just started being a triton trailer dealer today and we got a big enclosed trailer for ourselfs with locking doors which i really like the triton design because they make it with a door in the front v too so you can drive your 4-wheelers to the back

Then I cover them with the BRP covers I bought. They were kindof pricey ($90) but they look nice and keep the dew off of the bikes.>>>>>>>
Sorry, but I couldn't help but point out a bit of irony here LOL.

I'm sorry - I dont see your point about irony...
I was inferring that by covering my bikes after chaining them up it makes it alot
less desirable for someone to attempt to steal them and it keeps them dry.
IF your ever camped at Pismo you know that the seats get really wet overnight.
Just trying to help...

My ATV alarm system is a chain that I tie from the DS to the foot of the fat guy sleeping in the back of my truck (he looks like me accept he's really angry and probably very drunk and lookin for trouble) ... If I feel any tuggin' on the chain there is an angry 350 pounder who wakes up throws a beatin' on the offending attempted theif. LOL

BigJon I think raidermike was just funnin' at a thief eyeing your nice cover and wanting it and not necesarily what's under it. those bomb covers are very nice, and durable enough to trailer at highway speed from what I hear, which is part of why they cost so much.

Some of the places I ride allow riding on county roads into towns, one place in particular has a diner we like to hit for lunch, we park the quads in the lot and go in, the alarm will be great there too. Or when I'm at Little Sahara Oklahaom and ride down to the gas station and store to get some stuff, its only seconds to grab somebody's quad and it happens every day everywhere. Even enclosed trailers are no match - they just steel the whole trailer and get the quads out later. And if they can't easily get the trailer off the hitch they just steel the whole truck like they did BigWaynster last year, and ditch the truck a few miles down the road where they parked it and took the cordless grinder to the hitch lock. And if they break into the garage at night at home, I'm getting woke up. The benefits are endless.
Another really cool item are the brake disk locks. They have electronic ones with built in alarm sirens and shock sensors. $60 and if somebody budges the bike is is going off, and even if they say screw the sound I'm taking it anyway they can't push it anywhere cause the disk is locked. only trouble with this one is that you gotta go shut it off if its a false alarm. still a nice item though.

Bartlett Racing had a alarm hooked up to his kawi 700. There was a video of it here one time. The video showed him arming it, little red light blinking, then he kicked the tire & the alarm went off & last but not least was the remote starting (sweet). But I can't find anything on here from Bartlett anymore, all his stuff has been deleted like he never existed. Kind of like the HPR 70HP stock bore & stroke DS650 thread, poof gone.
