My DS mainly races the hills at the dunes.


Alot of people sure do like to ride the dunes with these bikes, It seems that most like to race the hills. Im sure more will reply.

Around my place i basically do everything ride fields, back roads, logging roads, ditches, trails etc. I ride dunes and sand hills in the summer a fair bit and love duning with this machine......i rarely ever race/ drag race...dont care for it...would rather be flying across dunes trying to climb twisty long steep hills and jumping, doing stunts.

 

Mainly high-speed trail riding 99% of the time with me!

 

I am 99.9% dunes... I have a small track at my house but its just not the same. I never get out of 3rd there... I love the dunes because its wide open 4th and 5th gear all day. 2 hour long rides... man I can't believe I didn't get out more this year... even when you're out there you just can't ride the dunes enough. I guess that makes me an average guy... no racing, just riding.

100% Sand. . . it's been years since I've been on dirt. I've probably logged more hot-laps up and down the asphault street in front of my house than on the dirt in the last 3+ years.

Love the Dunes! Seems I'm getting slower and definitely more cautious (getting hit by a sandrail will do that to you.)

 

I love riding anywhere, hills, sand, trails, drags. I like it all, just don't get to do it enough. I like the sand the most though, don't know why, I just do. I sure wish I lived further out west so I could ride on some big sand.

1/2 dune riding and bowling - the other 1/2 trail riding GNCC style, alot of which incorporates "hillshooting" of a different fashion, you other woods riders know what I mean.

I only spend a few hours a year dragging either flat ground or dune hill shoots, not even enough to earn a percentage on any scale. The power mods I have done are to increase the thrill of bowling in the dunes, not to win races, but it sure is fun to win a race now and again I have to admit, so I do see where you draggers get your thrill too!
