I am thinking you must be running rich or maybe to high of an octane that can make the problem more noticable. You can lean one out with lower octane fuel, not much though. For example if you put something like 110 race fuel in a machine that is not setup for it you will actulaly loose power. Most likely you just need to have the dealer check your fuel map. The fuel system is controlled by the computer. The reason I asked about the the altitude is there is some different map programs that BRP has come out with for different climates and altitudes to correct a couple of issues that had come up.

mine reads 8250 rpm's at full speed. also you say brp has different settings for the type of climate? now the fact that mine is in km and had some other stuff in canadian could mean its a different one for the pcm or whatever the computer on the atv is called. also 80mph on radar? im over 12 mph off of that. i have run 91 in the first tank, than 87 in the second and it was the same power. i need nos!!

Last I checked a mile is equal to 1.609344 Kilometers.. Thuse to be going 70mph it would have to read 112km/h

Oops Seems I had a mathmatical error in my calculation that would be 112.6541 KM/h but for all intensive purposes we'll have to settle on 113km/h

There are some things on this thread that i, from personal experience, cant agree with. Like the comment" a utility quad pulling a wheelie?" I can flip my 06 650V2 over the top of myself if i wanted to. I wheelie that 700lb+ machine every time i ride it. Also, the 800 bomb, if your all saying it tops out at about 70mph, isnt the only utility that does. Mine, and i think polaris 800 will also. I do believe the bomb will get there first, with 62hp, thats alot of power in a quad. But ive had mine around 70-73 on a down hill run plenty of times. Now i probably have a freak, like my dealer says, that it wasnt properly detuned as the V-Twins from kawi are supposed to be, but i like it. And Ill bet, since outtys motors are not detuned, that if kawis V-Twins are also not detuned, they would probably keep up with outty. No offense, I looked at outty, and couldnt afford a 9000 dollar wheeler! I paid enough, 7300 for mine, and wanted the ground clearance, speedrack, and ive always like AC, ecpesially if i can get this kind of power for 2000 dollars less than outty. In the end, i know if i had the money, i probably would have bit it and had an outty right now, and i agree they are unmatched for power right now, but they are not the fastest, and not the best in every category, except stock power
