Eric,

Are you running alky with 20 - 40% nitro?

OMR,

I'm not Eric but I'm pretty sure he's running Racegas and a 25 - 30 shot of NOS. If I had to guess on Octane selection, I would guess 118 - 119 depending on brand. I'm sure Eric will correct me if I'm wrong.

And I thought NOS didn't like high compression
an 855 on NOS is capable of 180-200 HP - that is with low compression. try and do that with a 16:1 it won't happen.

Seriously, can the motor take it?

I was curious how those estimates were reached. I am not doubting the numbers, I would just like to know how he got there............

two questions,

Why doesn't Planet Sand post the fastest single cyl 4-stroke record on their records page - I personally think they should

and what kind of motor holds their fastest single cyl record of 3.94, anybody know what the details are?

I talked to Sherry and they will post it. That 3.94 is a honda pilot cyl 250r bottom end 2 stroke, with a lot of runs. It will fall soon LOL very soon

The 16:1 happens because of the large displacement of the motor. We have the same cylinder head but way more bore and stroke compressing against it.

No alky or nitro. I'm running 114 HCR+ Sunoco; this was their head engineer's recommendation on my engine combo.

I'll take a quick revving 120hp motor over a slow revving 180hp motor any day.
