Realistic gains with nitrous?
Glenn.I will give you a call about the nitrous, thanks.I better get a swingarm before i get too serious about the nitrous since it is hard already to keep the front end down when drag racing.I will be contacting you soon about a swingarm for sure.I am thinking that a + 4" should be enough for dragging while still allowing me to loft the front end when i want.Does a +4" sound about right?

As Glenn knows, the install is pretty easy. You have a battery wire, system power wire, and Noss Switch. All the electrical connects right to the smart box. The Noss and fuel lines go into the smart box as well. The hardest thing is to figure out a way to mount your bottle. The easiest location is usually up front near the bumper with the bottle mounted horizontally. However, you'll need a siphon tube for that option. Otherwise the bottle must be mounted valve end down and slightly at a 45 degree angle to the rear. Again, if you have a siphon tube, the sky is the limit as far as mounting positions go. (hmmmm - that sounded kinda wierd huh).

Realistic gains with nitrous?
you guys crack me up! haha anyway I never used to even consider the thought of running juice but it seems the newer kits out are much more reliable than before. I am not trying to take away from any of the old stuff as maybe it just required more tuning which people did not do which resulted in a boom!
Anyway what is usually regarded as the safest method of delivery? (dry/wet?) I was pretty sure from the limited research I have done that dry is the way to go but now am not sure. What about controlling the shot - can you just change jets easily enough to determine the delivery? I wouldnt mind putting like 15hp on the 730 - that way its a reasonable boost but the bottle wont run out too quickly. Does anybody know about how long you get on the button in seconds with a typical DS sized tank (is it a 2.5 lb bottle most mount up front?) Also what are the limitations as far as how long you can hold the button safely? I just really have this fear of having the 730 motor blow...which would mean back to a stock machine and I cant even FATHOM that!
I will be taking the 730 down to HPR in the next week or so to get a new exhaust cam (trying to get a little more midrange instead of the all top end the hr5 has) and dyno and hopefully I will be @ or above 70hp with similar torque with the change of the cam- adding of the top gun and dynoing. - a nice 15 shot on top of that would be orgasmic! This is the first year I will be taking a reasonably quick quad to the big dunes and I have a good feeling all of my yfz riding buddies have are going to be looking at the back end of the pig!

Wet systems typically are known for putting fuel and nitrous together in a "fogger". Completely dry systems put only nitrous in the head. So, what do you call a system that puts extra fuel and nitrous separately.... I call it a hybrid I guess. As far as controlling the shot - the new systems do that with regulation. So, once its installed and tuned, there will be no variances.
I would think a 15 shot on a monstor motor would be huge. All these motors take nitrous differently. So there are variances in the actual hp numbers as they relate to the hole size of the nitrous nozzle.
