Since it would be a no brainer

why not release a 500 Vtwin version of the Renegade 4x4

and yes I know it will NOT be a lightweight 450 racer style bike

But would make a nice trail bike

a 500 version Renegade would be nice compliment to the Renegade lineup IMO

It is not like they would have to change anything other than switch engines

I'd rather see the DS in an 1100 V-twin version. Or even an 800 DS in single or twin set up.

Put a shifter on that 800 and drop it in the DS frame and I'll be at the dealer.

All the power I'ld ever need in a stock bike that is quiet and can meet noise regs and an engine I can run for years with only minor maint. No jetting because it is EFI. . . . show up to the dunes and ride until you have Monkey Butt. . . SWEET!

Dream Over. . .

For the trails don't they have a 650 twin? That'ld be a not brainer. Do they have another twin?

Nice thing about the twins is they seem to be a lot quieter and with many riding areas clamping down on noise that is a concern the manufacturer's must be considering in their new bike line-ups.

Yes they have the 650 Vtwin efi

and also released a 500 Vtwin efi

hence the reason I said it would be a no brainer for them to do it

Definately they should release a 500 Renegade. I would think its competition would be the Polaris Scrambler and the new Yamaha Woverine. These quads are just the tip of atv's future.
Sport 4x4's will become the most popular segment in atv sales, just a matter of time.

If the 800 Renegade sells, I am sure it will be followed up by a little brother. 500 or 650, I would love to see a significant price break however. They really need to shave about 2k off that sticker somehow.

Moving the plant to Mexico should lower labor costs some, LOL. You might even save some on shipping by going down and just riding it back. Did't MB have a deal where you could fly to Germany, pick up the car and drive it all over Europe and then have it shipped to the US?

allot of european oems do this on the cars produced overthere; BMW, MB, porscshe, saab, etc. Most will even give you $$$ to pay for the trip, hotel, sight seeing, and give you temp insurance. Pick up the car at the plant and drive it around europe. however, i would not do this b/c other than the autobahn, most roads in europe are narrow compared to the US; much more chance of a fender bender to your brand new $40k+ car!

also with european delivery , your car takes 4-6 weeks to arrive once you arrive back in the USA and it is in most cases always damaged. i have know people that did this in mass quantities of cars at a time and they said never do it b/c all the cars were always damaged to some extent.

hey why not a twin renegade 500...if they can get the weight down...its way more apealing to me than a big 800.
