Mario,

In Jed's case, he wasnt spraying when it happened - I just wanted to be clear on that. If he was, then the problem solving can be a twice as hard.

Ron,

If you get Jed started, he'll never stop on this subject! LOL - Have you seen his RAINBOW sand rail??? Man, you can chat with him for hours about that!

viper your not the only one with this problem.my 600 ran ok all weekend and when i went to load it up it was missing.i tore it down and found #3 piston had all the ring lands broke, stock cast pistons, and the rings rolled down the pin side. the piston tops looked fine and by looking at the plugs, chamber and piston everything showed rich....i was spraying a 52 shot and runnig vp110 and 91 mixed,i ran the same blend before with the same shot,it spent alot more time on the juice this trip though.
some of the guys here have been sraying 2 boonie nozzels on there 650 husaburgs and were having the same problem with C12.they switched to C16 and havent had it happen since.
im too greedy to drop my shot so i plan on running straight C16 to be safe
i was going to do some jetting and get the nitrous dialed in that weekend but the weather was so goofy i gave up after getting it to run ok and figured id wait for better conditions

Here are the specs on C14 ...

Recommended for motors operating at 8000 rpm or more with compression ratio of 14:1 and over in Drag Race cars, 4 stroke drag race motorcycles, snowmobiles, and Personal watercraft.

Color: Yellow
Motor Octane: 114
Gravity: .696 at 60 Degrees

I think it might be overkill for Jed to run this fuel. Personally, I think he'll have a good buffer of safety with C12.... Especially if he knows someone with a exhaust gas analyzer

Derby, did Brindley or Crapo find out what was with there engines as well? Man it sounds like we need to watch it when the weather does that crap. That sucks about your quad. We watched you run, and that thing was a hauling.

Marky, thanks for the specs. I do know of this one guy that might have an analyzer now. But I would have to ask him, WHERE IN THE HE!! WAS IT LAST WEEKEND???????LOL

Got my any numbers there Marky?
