Default Shock upgrade for 800XT

I am looking into an upgrade for the shocks. I have the 800XT, not the MAX. Has anyone out there upgraded yet? I looking to improve the front end the most.

Default Shock upgrade for 800XT

My suspension seems a little soft for aggressive riding. I am looking at Work's Shocks. Does anyone have these on their 800? I found a racing shop in California that will knock $200 off the price if you get all four shocks. These are triple rate springs, 3-way adjustable, and piggybacks.

I have a set of new shocks on order now. Works Performance has two types for the 800. The basic set has 5/8" shafts, triple springs, and adjustable preload. The Pro Series has the same plus piggyback reservoirs, and adjustable compression and rebound. Diamond G Racing had a set for my weight and riding style in stock so I will report soon on how good they work.

I also ordered a set of Works performance shocks from Diamond G for my Outty 800 and the difference is night and day. Works really did a nice job giving us exactly what the Outty needs to make it more of a sport quad. I have over 1,200 miles on the shocks and they still look new and work like the day I bought them. Mine have piggy back reservoirs, compression and rebound adjustable, and triple rate springs. Hope this helps

Can you spin cookies using the works shocks without trying to tip over?

I'm weighing in at 350. I've put a set of Elkas on mine and they are very impressive. Still very comfortable, I just don't bottom out like I used to. If you do go Elka, know that they will sell them to your dealer for less than they will sell them to you. I told my dealer that I expected them to buy them AND install them for what I could buy them for from Elka direct. This worked.

They are all custom made for your weight and riding style.
