Hey you have a brand new one or used one? is the rod and everything still connected? What's up with the gasket set, it like 250 bucks wow only gasket I need is the stator housing the rest look fine......I still looking I have cash in hand for the right price...........

 

I don’t know if this is of interest to anyone but I just rebuilt my 2001 ds650 the crank bushing was worn out so I split the motor split the crank and pressed out the bushing checked the connecting rod make sure it was round it was good, bought a needle bearings (good for 9000rpm) from bearing service in Lavonia Michigan and had 3 mm ground off the crank pin to suit the assembly I used .002 clearance (.001 per side)when the bearing was in the connecting rod pressed everything together again making sure the Oiler lines were lined up. put new bushings in the casings making sure the Oiler hole were lined up ( what a stupid idea bushings instead of bearings) put it together and works perfect so far total rebuild from bottom up $130 for full gasket kit, $30 needle bearing $100 for crank bushings and shims and a case of beer to grind my crank pin

 

Can u tell me the needle bearing number? I just found that my rod bearing is shot where can I found it online?

Did u grind off 3mm from the crank pin? That means that the needle bearing is 3 mm shorter than the bushing?
