I'm pretty sure already I hope he runs the 17/42 or 16/42 w/ 25"s on the 4th..................if he makes it back from Riddle in time

Riddle is going to really cut into the fast bikes showing up at FLorence

There is always that one guy out there that hands it to me right before I leave......................My goal is to become that guy!

Yah, with my Banshee that I sold eons ago I ran through at least 3 gears for every 2 on the DS. We have wide gear ratios and broad torque curves to compensate.

The DS motor has the most potential of any single cylinder 4 stroke availible in an ATV for high horsepower just in how stout it is built. The ***** in its armor are the wide gear ratios. What we need is a taller 1st gear since it is a granny gear, leave 5th the same and squeeze the other 3 gears closer together. We would be unstoppable

As it is, I agree with you..............it isn't optimal at all

Im still fighting over gearing. most likely it will be 16 42. Im still not sold on the 25' tires yet. Probably really hard to just dune on. I do know one thing 16 40 and 16 39 are totally useless with a 22' medium buff 8 paddle. Great roost show but forget about getting out of the hole. Bomber suggested 22" 12 paddle. Im soooooo confused!!!

Hey Nut, How many paddles are you running on your 25's?

Tell you what Kieth, while NUT is looking the other way, I'll swap them 25" over on your bike, and you can see what they can do for you Ask NUT about a pack of beer belly hillbillies that we say running 25" on their Raptors, they were duning like no tomarrow.

Tony is right. The added floatation was instrumental in their success. This was some impressive maneuvers on their part, let me tell you!

I will be running 12 paddle 25"s on all motor and 14 paddle 25"s on NOS. 17/40 launched the best, there was just a hint of bog if you didn't get the rpms up enough when you dumped the clutch, but yowiee that sucker skittered out of the hole like someone poked it with a sharp stick

Dang, I have to quit spending so much time talking to Kentucky. I'm starting to sound like them now j/k

Mario - You and i are on the same page. Those are exactly the sprocket and tire combo I would run with a strong stock bore or a 730. Is 69mph about where you want to be on the race hill at Pismo? (I realize you will be going a bit slower due to wheel spin) or is the hill long enough to hit 4th with those gears?
