The dvx250 sucks, i would say that its the crappiest of all the 250s

What makes the Arcticat dvx250 suck? they look like about the same machines, other than the motor. who makes the arcticat motor? if it's American made it's got to be better than the fake rotax made in Tiwan right? kiddin dude. just wondered what makes you say the AC sucks? have you been on one? you ever race one against your ds? be specific. thanks.

Getting ready to trade in the wifes TB for a 4 stroke. Thinking of the 250, but is it like the AC dvx 250? Really just a Kymco typhoon with AC badging? If I could, I'd keep the TB and do a little "tuning" on it, but I don't think she'll let me keep 3 quads.

Just bought a 250 for the wife, and was looking for nerf bars too. Seems the dealer is the only place that has them. And at 243, they may keep them. Trying to find out who makes them, and see if I can get a set cheaper. Judging from the little time I spent on it (just bought it) I'm guessing 45 would be the average top speed. Not counting 72 in that. At 72, something will fall off the quad.

Welcome to the forums sorrell.

The exhaust will be a lot easier to find. It's just finding a slip on with the same size pipe. One thing to remeber, this is made by Kymco, so you can check their site out and find some parts too. I've seen a clutch kit for them. It's a Mongoose 250, so you can see what they have. If the foot pegs weren't welded on, I would buy a set for something else and modify it, but don't want to mess with welds on the frame. Not good when a warranty issue arises.

the dvx is a kymco..says it on the frame and exhaust, and engine....i got a dvx for my kid this summer..it goes 56mph on the flats..thats all it can muster....i did get some after market stuf for a mongoose 250...fits like a charm...if you look close at the pics of a mongoose 250 and the dvx 250, you can see its the same quad other than the plastics.......even the foot pegs......looks like arctic cat just put dvx 400 plastics on and said....this is our 250...............on a good note the kymco mongoose 250 was rated very high as far as reliability, and easy to use...it took like first place in some kind of off road challange.....everything i read about it was 5 out of 5 stars....

Kymco is the manufacturer of both the dvx and the ds 250. Guess they saw how much Suzuki made off of selling the ltz to Kawi and Arctic Cat.
