Default End cap modding....

Hey all,
I've read on here somewhere that you can cut the "guts" out of the stock end cap to just leave the two exit holes for more performance.....is this advised, and will it give the similar results to and aftermarket cap?
Thanks....

I have done it and it does show a decent gain but nothing like the ODP disced end cap or the HPR end cap.For a very small cost the two end caps i suggested with proper jetting make a big difference.

Well, take a look at mine. It works wonderfully. Combined with a jet change. This cost me less than thirty dollars to make. I just finished my wife's cap 3 days ago. She loves it.

i took off everything on the back of my endcap and ground the holes nice and smooth for the air to go out...jetted to a 172.5 mikuni put a filter on it and she was a VERY good free mod. I would recomend it....good performance, very nice sound, and not killer loud like the open endcaps. But for pure performance the endcaps do outperform it by a bit.
