question im 16 years old and im very expiereinced for my age on an atv i purchased a 2005 650 x 2 weeks ago at the same time my 13 year old cousin bought a 450 er.Should i be able to beat him on a mile long dirt road, straight drag, and should i be intimidated?Both stock, keep in mind im a better rider.Our wieght is the same and height we are not small like 200 plus and about 6foot. Ive beaten a 450r before but not a new one with hjc kit i think its called.

You can do some simple mods that can help ya get an edge over him. DO a seach for Oldman racing for stock carb mods. You can try removing the lid also see if you can gain something from there. Exhaust wouldn't hurt either but on a tight budget a HPResearch end cap will help LOTS.

Nate, the 450R is a nice ride, but if you are both bone stock you should do pretty well against him. OMR's carb mods will help, also if you can round up $150 bucks or so get yourself an end cap, its just as good as a pipe. It looks very close to stock, so you could just tell your cousin its a little bling, and then smokle his a$$.... and then if that doesn't work follow DSNut's directions and put his a$$ into a ditch.
