How do you program the Vortex to the thumb switch?

 

From what I understand which I could be wrong but one is already programmed in and you can pick the second one with the dial from 1-10 and that is the other map. Please don't take my word for it but I think that is how it works.

 

The top notch on the thumb switch is the #1 position, and on the CDI box itself there is a dial with 10 different curve selections. Which ever curve selection you set the dial to will be the bottom notch on the thumb switch. I hope that answers the question.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Neat thing I am also finding out that most distributors of the Vortex can also do custom programs for you, I found one in Riverside, and 1 in Santee

 

Who does the reprograming in Santee... Duncun????

 

Thats what MTracing in Riverside said, they also can program the CDI, but you need to know the timing curves you want.

 

OK I got the Vortex on, I understand that #01 is the main program, But you have 3 traction programs 2,3,4 and you have 2 linear programs #5, 6, any one running these programs?? all I got from the dealer was try em out (settings) and see if you like them, said that every one is different about what they like and what they are running.
