Thanks steveo10. If you have any questions or need specs on that piece, send me a pm. Also everything is still wired in. Like the red light for the temp and oil pressure. Just incase I don't notice the guage. I also put a switch in the fan to either keep it running or let it turn on and off by itself. Just some things to keep inmind.

Switch 4 the fan wouldn't be a bad idea... i will be ridin in extreme heat for a couple of hours and the fan will only ran for a minute or 2 after. And i know the fan should be running a lot longer than that!

I put the switch in because my fan wasn't running at all. So before I started to go, I would make sure the fan was running.

The guages I got from autozone for 30 some odd dollars and the aluminum piece that is between the radiator and thermostat was made. It helped me out at silver lake this weekend when I keep running hot and the fan was messing with me big time. hope this helps.
Hey Steve, so is your fan junk now? I have a few motorcycle fans that may work for ya if ya need one, I just need to look them over to verify if they would mount up fine. Let me know bro. RUSS

yea that fan is pretty much junk. It doesn't have the ***** to pull the air through the radiator. Let me know what you come up with buddy. If not, then hightower has a site that you can get the exact fan for 50 bones!!

What size are those guages SW2steve77? I took a 2nd look at the pic and they fit perfect!

I forgot about something to include... I was thinkin about a rad flush? I have a ton of hours on my ds and over time debres might've made its way in. Im just thinkin of all the posibities since the DS was in the shop for the same problem in the spring. All they came up with is the rad fan

1 1/2 " Anything else will be too big. They say to cut the holes with a hole saw using a 1 5/8" What I did was cut it using a 1 1/2 saw and then used a die grinder and cut the holes a bit bigger to fit. A flush woudn't hurt at all. Might check on the water pump too while your at it to see if the fins are still good too.

Thanks russ......let me know if they fit or not!!!
