Default Temp guage

I search for this problem, but ill cut straight to the chase... I have had the temp light come on a while back. So i took the DS in to get looked at. The mechanic said the fan wasnt workin and i got it replaced. Today i was ridin and light would come on for a minute and then shut-off. The oil/coolent resevoir looked good. A guy was also ridin a DS in our group and he said it is probably just the senor screwed up? Anyone also had this prob?

throw you a 69 dollar esr inline water temp guage so you can visually see how hot its getting. there cheap plus they look cool. you could also wire the fan wires together with a toggal switch and turn it on and off manually

Steveo10, take a look at my setup. It was very inexpensive to make if you know someone that does some machining. The guages I got from autozone for 30 some odd dollars and the aluminum piece that is between the radiator and thermostat was made. It helped me out at silver lake this weekend when I keep running hot and the fan was messing with me big time. hope this helps.

I got one from JTATV. com
It was easy and mounts right up with two hose clamps. The one I got was lit and mounted right next to the tach.

I wired my ds direct becuase on the early model ds650's they had problems with the swith but I also have it so the fan will come on by itself...my ds650 seems to run really hot becuase I am using reg car antifreeze but a few days ago the guys were recommending engine ice which can be bought at rocky mountain for about 12 bucks or so...it cools it by about 50 degrees better then reg coolant and isn;t toxic like antifreeze.

I still have a liguid filled Autometer gauge (for vibration) and the aluminum piece for the sensor.

I've been tripping over them in my garage.
