Ceramic Coatings for Outlander Max?
#1
I've read a number of comments about the high heat experienced on the Outlander exhaust system with melted plastice etc. I know that mine gets hot around the foot area, but I haven't had any problems other than being somewhat uncomfortable while sitting or running slow. It's warm enough wearing riding boots and jeans.
Has anyone had their exhaust system ceramic coated and how well did it work for you? I did a google search and found a number of sites where I can have my pipes and muffler coated. Some places can do both the inside and outside of the exhaust pipes and it looks like it can knock 40 to 50% of the heat from around the pipes. Is it worth the $150 to $200?
