I just got in from dropping Randall off at the airport. What a tremendous experience this week has been. I went through countless hours of trying to set my duner up as a flat track bike. I followed Randalls instructions to the very best of my ability and resources and we got it done just in time. Everything looked good and sounded good. We got one test run on Thursday night that was a 4.8 on all motor. The bike was rich on top and laid down a bit at the top of the rpm band. We had a myriad of gremlins in the nitrous system that were mostly worked out before the race so it was functioning mostly.............it had a lean spike off idle on the dyno that became a lean flatspot under load of sand that made it impossible to launch on Noss. We did one motor pass in sportsman class that that was 4.7 to make sure our jetting issues were taken care of up top. The bike still layed down a little so we leaned the power jets a touch more and told the official we were timing in at 4.65 assuming that would be close. We didn't get a second chance. The sprague clutch went to pieces on Friday afternoon forcing us to pull start the bike on Saturday. The pieces that came off messed up the magnet at the pick-up. The bike died at the line and was not able to be restarted............no spark. The Best we ran regardless of potential was a 4.71. I am disappointed but that is life, it certainly wasen't from a lack of effort on anyone's part.
The victory we did have was the only single cylinder 4-stroke to post a better time that I heard of was Capewindy's 730 in the drag chassis. The rocket raptor that took KOTD was a tenth and a half slower than my only run on race day.
Rcoop - The average of my raceday passes was 4.71..............what was yours on your DS? Couldn't help but notice you never introduced yourself to me. I went and talked to every DS owner I saw hoping it would be you but came up empty..............
AZ - I gave you a pretty hard time after 4sw's, so....................touche
To all of the forum members I met up with; I cannot convey with this keyboard how much I appreciated the support from all of you.
Scatterbrain offered the whole side of his motor to keep me in the game and was ready to help me tear into it at my word. Not knowing the underlying problem that caused the sprague to go so suddenly, I made the call not to proceed until I knew what happened.
2Big was a gentleman and ran around with me in his truck all afternoon on Friday just to scrape together enough NOS for Capewindy and I to run Pro class. I selflessly offered his tools and extra gaskets he had brought and he took my ribbing like a "big man"
Cynick is a picture perfect family. Tracy was supportive and was obviously rooting for me, Seth jumped in and aided us in solving a few problems with Capewindy's setup and was invaluable..........I was in a hurry wasen't I, Seth?.......and I didn't have enough hands by myself
Bigdaddy660R and Raptorandy27 were in our corner and ready to do whatever needed doing. Thanks!
Capewindy - Had no idea you were so huge! Rcoop obviously hasen't met you, lol. Your bike was the most impressive thing I saw all week! Finally a full on race 730 running 4.1's on a loose track! You have to proud of that
Sandbomber - The look on your face when I told you I was vegetarian was priceless!LMAO Thanks for the advice and keeping me up to speed on race proceedures
222 - There is nothing i can say that you don't already know.............but thanks........for everything This was an experience that will be remembered and you have a friend in me............you earned it.

for all the insinuations of people beating robert up i have already taken that situation into my own hands. once i heal up good and a little poke to my shin wont kill me. robert and myself have agread to get together and show our ground skills of judo and wrestling or grabeling or whatever its called. so if there are any threats going on stop it please. him and i are working out something rite now like no eye poking or ear biting.

Damn 2big, here I am giving you props and you want more Notice I never mentioned the outcome after Randall gave Scatterbrains bike a tune up
All kidding aside, the Rainbow bike runs hard, chit all these dudes DS's run hard and I think it's safe to say a good time was had by all
I seem to remember my bolt on 700R not doing to bad at the hill either

Rcoop - you can't spin this. You can't change history. You never came and made good on your claims...........either about lining up with me or about finding out the truth about Glenn's chassis. If you looked at Glenn's chassis at this event, you did it under the cover of anonymity because no one from our group ever saw you or talked to you to their knowledge.
As far as us lining up........I told you the terms of the race. The average of the timeslips on Saturday at dunefest. My average was 4.71. Your decided not to run at all.............at least on a DS
I win by default. Do you want a rematch? The terms of a rematch since you chose not to show up and take any of the opportunities at dunefest to line up with me and you chose not to run and get any timeslips will be up to me. Your choices are Superman Hill at Winchester, South jetty Hill at Florence or the new comp hill outside of Frontier or the race hill at BoxCar in Coos Bay. I will give you a number of dates that I can make in hopes that one of which you will make time for.............I will give you respect just for showing up and introducing yourself. This is your last chance. If you don't take it, it will be clear you don't intend to race me and that you never did
About Capewindy..............My comments about Ron implied nothing about his actions. It was all about yours. Dunefest was proof positive that you don't have the same level of courage in person that you have behind your keyboard. If you had met Capewindy, Bomber, me and the rest of the group.............you wouldn't even want to say the things you do or approach this forum the way you have.

Maybe Hpr has some other "race" motors they could make you a deal on, get an 855 and maybe you will make three passes and run a .60 only 2 tenths slower then the team bikes. good job though you only proved my point they race one thing and sell another.

The only one around here running their mouth is you and there is no reason for it. You started this and you have made your point, I decided to include myself since we are in the same region and now you have unequivically challenged me. The race is on. My DS against yours, the entire days timeslips will be considered and an average will be the official time for our purposes. If you have any more questions or comments, lets get them over with..........then lets race
As far as the money goes..........I don't want your money. You made it personal, it is strictly a grudge match and we will have video cameras there as well with Sandbomber, Capewindy, 222 and YFZFryguy as witnesses.
That ought to do it. I don't care what fuel you run, just as long as you are running a Rotax DS motor, you and i are on the same page.
Good Luck

If you can't produce timeslips for your DS, you have no average E.T.'s. You chose to forfeit by not running your bike.
Sorry buddy All you had to do was run on Saturday and post an average lower than 4.71 with your DS and i would admit you the victor due to my mechanical failure or that my bike was simply slower.........whichever was truth.
Actually if you had come and talked to me on Thursday or Friday and stated that you didn't like my terms, I probably would have tried to accomodate you..............
