alright guys, thanx for all the input. its not the gas cap thing. i tried that before and nothing happened. i will have a chance to take it out on thursday again to see if the whole plug thing did anything. it has been a number of years since i took a carb apart, so i don't know if i will try it again anytime soon if i can help it. and if anyone is interested in my ds, for their own purposes, email me at myarnes13@msn.com. i have an interesting proposal for someone if they live nearby........
