Talk to your doctor about that. I actually cant remember my situation as far as ice goes. I pretty pain free until one of mine got a dry socket. I did everything they said, but got a pretty nasty jaw bone infection. They had to go back in and scrape my jaw bone. It was absolutely the most pain I have ever dealt with in my entire life. The doc told me, over the phone, to up my meds, I did, and slept for 3 days. I came out of it feeling pretty fine! LOL

Im just glad they are out. It was quite an experience for me. I've broken bones and had all kinds of stiches - Even a tatoo that took an hour long. Heck I dont even take any meds or ask the doc for novacaine when I have my teeth drilled and filled. That bone infection and subsequent bone scraping was 100 on a pain scale betwen 1 and 10! So my advice to you is make SURE you are doing everything they ask. GOT IT?

Speaking of pain....I threw out my back on Thursday. It was odd...I was standing there taking a leak when all of a sudden my back went out. I don't know what happened. Honestly, I wasn't lifting anything all that heavy at the time.

Ended up in the emergecy room. At least its better now and I can walk again.

ouch

yeah im trying to follow all of the doctors instructions but its really hard to swallow and im affraid if i swallow i will develop a dry socket right now im in bed drinking taking pain killer with ice water and ice pack on my cheeks.

i would call my doctor but im pretty pissed on how he did my surgery and what got me more pissed is that he wouldnt let me keep my teeth they just threw them away they said it was a health risk.
