Are you talking the laser temp sensors ? I have one of those for track and tire temp. I'm talking temp inside the bottle thats where it counts.

I was talking a simple laser sensor. I do agree the temps inside are more important, but the bottle temp would give me and idea of the contents it holds.

Now that sounds like a great idea. Can this be done?

Well, I think we need to get somebody on here who know's what they are talking about when it comes to nitrous and set the record straight on this issue at hand about the pressure/temp/switch...its making my head hurt, LOL!

Are we measuring Liquid Nitrous temps or the vapor? The outside aluminum might be an average of the two.
Well, really were talking about two different things, but placing them in the same sentence, to make it seem easier to us. First, we need to worry about bottle pressue, as thats what the regulator controls. But we are referring to bottle temperature, as it correlates with pressure. We know temps drop as the bottle emptys, So we would need to know what temperature the bottle is at 520psi, to know what to look for. We could just put a guage on to see what bottle pressure was when we got at the top, then do numerous runs to see how long it took to get to the 500psi.
