Back To The Basics................

Well guys, I appreciate your humor in a thread that was created for such a great purpose.
I was flipping back and forth through the pages of pics/vids over on 14mins.com yesterday and couldnt help but notice how everyone used to get together in a pasture and just hand out, race, eat, and just have a great time. There wasnt any bickering or bantering about who was the best builder. Yeah, sure it was rivalry. But it seemed like good a good friendly rivalry in a family oriented atmosphere.
Now we all know that during the past couple months the Bombardier Forum has taken a very sharp turn. The DS Community (once a very close knit group) has taken a very hard blow due to the rumors/speculations that seem to swirl around not only the forum but the telephones/emails...etc, etc. Im also quite aware of myself being the one who brought all of this to light. I consider myself the messenger, if you will. But some of you have taken this to another level. Im very disturbed by people who cannot accept responsibilty and admit their faults, forgive their brother and lets move on in a more positive direction.
I couldnt help but notice how a very prominant member of our community carefully pointed out how the DS world has been utterly divided. Im very sorry for this. I really dont know if words could mend the wounds. I try to be someone who is liked by all. None of us like to have enemies. Somebody said time heals all things...but Im not so sure if this will be the case.
It would just be so nice for everyone to lay down their armour and swords and lets join hands and stand united as that great community that all other atv forums see us as. Sure would be nice to just get back to the basics......

Choose,
The only thing left to do in my opinion is move forward. Certainly, living in the past will only keep us there.

Marky,
Thats just it. Im not quite sure who is willing to step up to the plate and say they are sorry, forgive and forget. Thats what bothers me right now. Sure we all want to act like tuff guys when our person/character/accountability is in question. But who is tuff enough to stand and say IM SORRY? THATS THE QUESTION.

Thats your right. But if you are waiting for someone to say they are sorry, it might be a long wait. In the meantime, I hope things wont fester. I personally dont need someone to say they were sorry to me for what they have done to me. I dont have to like it, but I do have to move on. And there is no way that Im letting someone control me in that fashion. But thats just me ....

I agree with you on that as well. I dont need someone to tell ME they are sorry. I just want them to know that Im sorry and hold nothing against any man and the blood is no longer on my hands. They are the one's who will have to sleep with it at night.
But I just hate to see this great community/group of brothers stay divided under such non-sense stipulations.

I really wish it was that easy just to jump in the shower and it all be over. But I honestly dont think some people can "stomach" the thought of saying Im sorry and I forgive. Its a sad day in America.

Chris, I think you deserve an explanation just like all the rest of the users of this board. I dont want to dig up the past. But I will say that an event occured in which one of our brothers on this forum was involved. A situation where one brother claimed another brother wasnt playing by the rules. This started the division. Some people has made amends, others have not. I was one of the key figures in this whole fiasco. Now that some dust has settled, there are still members/brothers/users of this board who continue to let it eat away at them and just cant man-up and say Im sorry, I forgive you and lets move on. This is what has occured. In a nut shell.

Wow some of you guys take this way to seriouse! I only race and get into the sport so I can hang out with good friends and good people.
If I go to race and the atmosphere is not a pleasant one I will not go back to that area. In the past few years I have seen this happen at Gordons wells on freeway hill at night. I used to take my family and friends to the hill at night and we would put all kinds of funky lights on are quads and race the hill at night but lately it has been infested with a whole new crowd of party animals and routies who don't even ride or race they are just there causing trouble last time I was there I had to run some guys off. Now we don't go anywhere near that place at night and it really sucks.
I hope that you guys make amends and remember that this is a fun sport let's all keep it that way and if you have a grudge with anybody settle it on the drag or at the hill and if he beats you go up and shake his hand and let him know that you will get him next time. "Im gonna try my best not to come off with such an edge from now on. I know I have come across to some many people on here as someone who Im really not. I dont want to cast a negative imagine on this forum. We all will not agree on everything in the future. But we all share the same passion and for that, we do need one another from time to time. So with this all said, I want to say that if I have offended ANYBODY on this forum (not only in this thread) but also in other threads, IM VERY SORRY FOR THAT. I want to make a positive impression on everybody I interact with every day of my life."
But thats not all....look at this one where Glenn and I apologized to eachother.

"I too Glenn CANNOT live with this and this might not be the most popular thing to say but yes Glenn IM SORRY AS WELL."
Some of you need to go look in the mirror.
