I will say this about the Polaris. That turf mode switch that unlocks the rear end and allows for an actual differential is an awfully nice feature. I wouldn't mind seeing that on ATVs as long as it didn't compromise strength and durability. The big utility Polaris I rode had that switch and it made it easier to maneuver around the barn lot and it didn't tear up the grass and yard nearly as much even with heavy lugged tires on it.

Capt,
You are right I forgot about the "Turf mode". That is really nice when working in the yard; it's also fun to play with it in tight trails as well. However if you do start loosing traction the posi diff will automatically lock both rear wheels even if the switch is still in turf mode. This is good when backing-up, because you would definitely tear up the yard backing up a slight incline with one wheel spinning, even if both are switching back and forth.

I think it's gonna be difficult for any brand to compete with the rotax vtwin power. It'll be fun watchin them try though.
Rotax are great engines, however don't count out Suzuki and Yamaha. When they decide to build a speed engine it is always a hit. Look at the crotch rockets, or even comparing the snowmobile engines. The rotax don't have the power of the suzuki's in that catagory.

Na, V2 useally just says dumb, unsenseful things to get a hype out of us bomb riders.

But anywho i would think that dump on the polaris would be useful as hell 4 a farm. That would work 4 various duties. Nice to see more of a 2seater market!

As for sleds, i think Yamaha has the market by the throat. Im a firm believer in the Polaris, but Yamaha's 4strokes are just too good. Throw a turbo on a RX1 and you will be over the mountain
