Default 2000 ds problem

don't get discouraged you will figure it out. And when you do it will probably something stupid we all just didn't think about. You will be impressed with the lectron I know my hubby was when he got his on. You could have this problem with any quad not just the DS. Or worse with some of the other bikes so Don't give up. It's ok. Take a deep breath and try again. Maybe there is a peice of dirt or something that is blocking the gas did you clean the carb?
Just another suggestion. Wish I could help more.

More fuel flow I am sure is the difference. I don't know about the tank and the lectron having problems together. I don't see why they would. But I don't know.
As for the price new I am not sure I got mine out of the Garage Thread check it they usually have some in there.
If you are staying stock and not a big bore I would say all you need is a 46 but that would be up to you.

Lets start over.
You have a 175 main
A 45 pilot
If i remember right your needle is on the 4th down from top.Is this right?
Where is your fuel screw at.Mine runs best at 2.5 out.
Is your air filter clean? Are any of your air intakes blocked?
Can you blow through the hole in the gas cap?How about the fuel line? Some deteriorate and
get clogged.Have you changed your plugs and correctly gapped them?
Are you sure your cdi is good. Are all the intake boots on with no air leaks,no cracks.
These are things that i have encountered that have made my quad and others to not rev.
Im sure others with more experiance will chime in.

I know his cdi works unless his rectifier fried it. Because it worked when I sent it to him.

Idle to 1/4 throttle. You should put in the 45.BRP used to put in a 40 and switched to a 45 most would
replace it with a 45.What is stock screw setting? Are you sure the guy that owned it before didnt mess with it? Mine was 5 out when i bought mine brand new.I used to foul plugs quite frequently.
Cynick i didnt know if he had changed it.Thanks for clarifying.

Default 2000 ds problem

the bike has never been messed with the previous owner was a 65 year old man that used it once on the beach got one hell of a deal back in 2003 for 3500.00 it ran great then till i installed hmf exhaust and the 175 jet the problems started.

today i found a pinhole sized hole in the rubber diaphram could this be causing me my problems i tried installing the one from my parts carb but it doesnt fit i think it shrunk beacuse i left it out side of the carb so long.

i put the diphram in a plastic bag with some wd40 to see if it expands ill check on it tommorow right now i have the dipram with the hole in it and the 32.5 pilot jet

The diaphram having a hole will cause it to run bad.Try and change both and see what happens.
I deffinitly think that the pilot jet is to small.
