I have not ran the big gun, I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. However, I do know that there are a lot of them out there running, so take that for what it is worth. I have heard of a few, and let me stress a few going bad. But none have caused the problems of the procomm. Whether or not it adds HP is hit and miss around here, I have heard both. I do know that the stock curve, and the performance curve on the Vortex gives me about 500-700 additional RPMs on Banshee Hill in Winchester Bay.
Also, the CDI will be fine no matter what one you choose on a stock bike all the way up. However, with the stock valve springs you will want to keep your RPMs below 8500. Vortex gives you a rev limit of 8900, and RWR has no limit. We currently run RWR on two DS's with stock springs with no issues, and I ran my Vortex on them for awhile also. You should be all good to go, but if it were me I would get a pipe or at least an endcap first.....But that is just me

On the vortex is it possible to set the rev limit on it to say 8350 or something like that....just incase you overrev it somehow you still have safety not like the woods box where it would just keep revving??? or does it only come in a preset limiter.
