""Used 46HV Power Jet carb with misc metering rods and power jets. Carb originally purchased from http://hpresearch.net/ for a Bombardier DS650. The carb includes the pictured intake boot, as well as additional metering rods. The HPR needle is in the carb along with PJ70 and works fine. The bike ran great when the carb was removed. I'm selling the carb since my IMS gas tank covers the top of carb and creates a funky throttle cable angle. When I modified the throttle cable to fit under the IMS gas tank, it became frayed, so it's *not* part of this sale. Top throttle plate has stainless 8/32 allen head screws instead of philips head screws. Power Jets 20-120 are included.

The "loop" on the choke **** is some stainless rod I bent to to make it easier to grab the choke.""

 

Did you know you can get a 90 degree throttle cable to work with the IMS tank from HPR? If that is the only reason you are selling you might want to check that out.

 

I had a HPR 90 degree cable installed. If they came out with a better one in the last 2 years I don't know, but I needed fuel capacity more than power for the type of riding I do.

If you saw a picture of the carb and tank installed this would make more sense. 1" of space to to turn 90 degrees just isn't a lot of space. I used spacers to lift the tank up an extra 3/4", but it wasn't enough. The design flaw is with the IMS tank, not the Lectron. IMS added an extra fuel pocket to gain 5oz of fuel when most folks would rather have easy carb access.

This carb added enough power to cause me to buy stronger clutch springs. Since then, I've added a port and polish, cams, higher compression piston, a vortex, so now I think I can drop the carb and still have the power I need.
