Jed, Sorry to hear about you and your family's loss. The only time I spoke with him he was joking with me and laughing. It says alot for a man who is in that much pain to keep such a smile on his face and the people around him. He is now painfree and still smiling.......

Jed . I have heard many times that you can either be a good father to your kids or a good buddy to them and it sounds like you were blessed in having a father who found a way to be both. My relationship with my dad has always been the exact opposite and there was no changing him and no way of conforming in order to make him like me or my brother or even my mom who is the sweetest person I have ever met in my whole life .we tried for 40 years. only now that he is old and frail and heavily medicated and dependant on constant help from others does he treat us decently. I truely envy you your relationship with your dad as its what I wanted for my entire life and never got to have. I am truely sorry for your loss and can only offer that time heals all wounds and it will get a little better with every passing day. wishing you and your family the best.

Thank you........you know I guess I wouldnt have ever looked at it like that. I suppose I am selfish in a way....there is many others out there that never got to experience what I did.........I will deeply miss him, but I am glad I was given such a man as a father, many folks arent so lucky. I will remember that....

Jed my friend i know your pain having to bury our aunt here recently. i am sorry to hear about such a tragedy like this. i really did enjoy spending the day with your dad and family. he just like you seemed to be like a kid at heart. for you to bring your dad , father inlaw, and brother to pismo on fathers day shows what a close bond you guys must have. it was an honor to hang out with him, our prayers are with you.
