Well good job guys those are impressive numbers. Put them on the track and lets see what they run. If my 67hp can run 4.2 with a pilot then you guys should be setting some serious records.

Based on the math, your chassis would have to weigh in at a little under 170 lbs to run a 4.2 with 67 hp........assuming a 135 lb pilot.

I need to find out who your chassis guy is since a motor weighs about 117 (assuming we are still talking about a Rotax). That leaves 53 lbs for everything else That is incredible! Great job!

After a little more research, I have seen weight claims from 105 to 112. The most confident and well versed claim was 112..........on a stock 650 motor.

I know the DS motor felt like 200lbs to my back

Thats cool No starter, huh? Was it worth the weight savings?

300 feet at a time there are lots of stuff not needed. Of course you already know that.

Ok, so you took the starter off. Lets say your motor weighs in at 80 lbs just to be conservative. That chassis must be SICK light!!

I second 1Big's request. I would love to see some pictures of this setup. 4.2 with only 67 hp is simply unheard of!

Scott (Choosetolose) - Did you read this? We have a stock bore, stock stroke DS650 without NOS at 67 hp that ran a 4.2. Didn't you run a 4.6 with around 80 hp at 290 lbs? Sounds like you have some catching up to do for the stock bore times

I ran 4.61 at 72hp in a 310lb chassis on dirt/sand mix.

That sounds reasonable How much lighter do you think a DS can get?

I think a titanium rigid with an external starter will go near 210lbs.

I dont know about that scott. The 450r gas tank bike was around 190lb.. Our motor is much heavier. IMO a TI drag chassis will get you near 260- 270 lb/ with no battery and tiny radiator.

I need to see how much the green goblin weighs, The subtract about 20 lbs off chassis for titanium.
