TIRES again? Ughhhh!
Ok, I've posted this before but I still can't decide.
Anyone care to list the following:
What non stock tires are you running?
Why?
What differences do you notice?
What kind of riding do you MOSTLY do?
What kind of wheels are you using?
What kind of quad are you riding?
Radial or non radial?
Ply rating?
I'm stuck between Holeshot ATR's, Mud Lite XTR's, Carlisle ACT's(XT model tires) Bighorns and the basic Mud Lite non radials.

Well, we have the big lugged version of the mudlite on our Vinson....they work very well. I have the normal mudlites on my ds and they were a wonderful tire for all around riding. Im guessing this is for your Outlander 800...but ive had bearclaws on my ds and the mudlites outperform them in almost everyway for mud/snow/hard ground etc. Seems most mud tires are 6 ply tires now anyways and if you do any trail riding i would go with ATLEAST a 4 ply tire but they are harder to find. If i were putting tires on my outlander 800...which i stripped the racks of and stuff...making it more sporty i wouldnt put a big agressive lugged tire on it...more along the lines of the holeshots...or a smaller lugged mud tire such as the basic mud lites.

raidermike for all around riding i dont think you can hardly beat the act's, when in a tight trail they dont try to climb everything, they do decent in the mud and muck, in the sand the do real well. the next closest thing to them is the mudlite xtr's and they are just too expensive for a wheeler tire. i know that my next set will be another set of act's. the bighorns are a loose terrain tire, when they get in the slop they dont do so hot. if you wait a bit cowtown is working togather with PIT BULL to come out with some new wheeler tires. gncc tires and mud tires.
