Default Outlander Question

Will I need skid plates if I mainly plan to use it in the muddy trails? It will never rock climb. I need a belly skid for it? Who makes a good belly skid for the Outlander?

Default Outlander Question

I have the hmf pipe and dobeck tfi box on my 06 800XT. I really like the sound of the pipe. It gained me about two lengths over a stock one in a drag race. I just have the stock carlisle tires on mine and they do really well in the mud, they are 26 inch tires. I have a-arm guards and the belly skid on mine. I bought them from my dealer, they are can-am parts. They also make heated hand grips and heated thumb throttle if you ride in cold weather very much. I just did some riding in the snow last weekend and they are well worth the money.

Default Outlander Question

Do not ride it without skid plates. I have the Bombardier skids, but since seeing the ricochet skid plates I can tell you they are way better. Sooner or later you will smack the bottom on something, and if you do it without skidplates, you'll be sorry.
