Default Outlander Question

I am planning on getting a Outlander 800 soon and was curious as to what kind of OTD price people are paying. A friend of mine is getting an 07 650 Outlander for $7300 OTD.
Another thing, what kinds of things should I be prepared to deal with when I get one of these awesome machines? I plan on using this quad on severely muddy trails. What kind of tire works good with this machine and what type of exhaust and snorkles are people using on these quads?

Thanks in advance!

Well one thing to watch out for is kicking other quads a$$es lol...Prob around 9 or so I am guessing due to the crate fee blah blah...Um I believe hmf sells an exhaust for the outty and get a programmer also and you will see even better response but get the exhaust and the programmer as a comb don't just get a programmer by itself...I am not sure about the snorkels and same for tires as I don't have an outty but hope to get one in the near future

Default Outlander Question

They were a year ago, when they first hit the market, but now at there ara plenty of them to go around on dealers lots, you can negotiate better. I got a grand off MSRP of the last one I bought a little over a month ago. I herd of 06s std models selling for under 8 grand all the time now. There were still a couple adds in the oklahoma Boat/Bike and RV trader last month. The best price I have seen was a month or so ago and it was 7399.00 for a 06 closeout special. I herd from a dealer the other day that BRP had a special 800.00 dollar kickback going on with the dealers kinda behind the seens to help them move out there remaining 06 inventory.

Hey Goodsound, HOW ABOUT THEM COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

I still can't believe we pulled that off. Just kiddn around buddy, as an alum its not offten that I can say that about my cowboys.

Yep, the cowboys steped up to the plate and hit it out of the park. They played there butts off and left nothing on the field.

Default Outlander Question

So this Outlander has been pretty good for you guys? I am used to high quality Honda Sport Quads and I keep hearing that this is the top utility quad out there. I have seen several of these drag race and have been very impressed. I am hoping that it will be equally good on the trails with a sportier feel than the Arctic Cats or Polaris utes that I have ridden. I plan on test riding my buddy's 650 once he picks it up. I am hoping that it puts a smile on my face. Who is making a good controller to go with the HMF pipe? Are there any troubles with running 27 in tires on these atvs? I do know that I want a more aggressive tire than comes stock.

Larger then stock tires may effect the visco-loc 4WD system and cause a slight delay in engaging. This won't cause any damage but it won't perform exactly as designed. I'd invest in skid plates right off the bat.
