The correct pronunciation is how chop said it. Like this: Bomb.bar.dee.aay- not spelled like that of course. Named after the Man himself- Joseph Armand Bombardier

Just a follow-up on the company. It started in 1942 when J.A.B. invented "the first car that rides on snow." His cherished vehicle became the forerunner of the world's first production snowmobile: Ski-Doo. Bombardier is a $8.5 billion company with 47,000 employees in eleven countries. Bombardier was gifted with natural mechanical skills. As proof that it is true, when he was just thirteen, he was able to successfully make moving toy boats, locomotives and tractors using clock mechanisms! He was a native of Valcourt, Quebec. At 15 yrs. old, he invented the snowmobile with his brother Leopold.

Ok, this is coming from a Canadian who has had french rammed down his throat for ten years. The best fenetic version of Bombardier I can give you is bomb-bar-djay. The d in front of jay is soft and short short. Most people people up here still call them bomberdears.

Could you say that it almost rhymes with the end of the word "Courvoisier"- The Liquor? Kind of like: Core voss ee A Anyway, I own a 96 Ski-Doo Formula SLS 500, and I love it! Love that Rotax Mill! Goes to show that Bombardier makes good products.

Your all right, there's american "Bomber-deer", there's canadan english "bomb-bar-de-aaa", and then there's french canadan "bomb-bar-djay". It all who you talk to. Dealer near me says the canadan english way, talked to a rep. at there main plant and said it the french way. And I'm a hick with lazy speech so it....."BOMB-A-DEER" or my "yellow sub-marine". May my DS rule FOREVER!!!!
