I kinda hope that Can-am does what Polaris did... came out with a bigger motor than the 450's.... EXCEPT of course no IRS, lighter and EFI.

But of course ive been hopin for a light midsize sport from BRP for quite awhile. Ive been patient and dedicated to this company.

im wondering if anyone caught an article in 1 of the newest dirtwheels magazines about a "brp" prototype which was army green and had dirtbike wheels and tires and was supposed to be low hp light weight and made for 14-22 year olds and was supposed to be made to where you can keep learning new tricks on it and dirtwheel's said they thought it had kindof a bmx hint to it .... but anyways it was absolutely hideous and i guarantee that they wouldnt seel unless it was the most fun thing to ride and u could get everyone to ride it

I saw that......was really kind of hard to get a firm idea on what the heck it was.

I saw a pic in Dirt Wheels of like an 80's something quad frame with a Rotax 500 2 stroke engine...

i think i remember something about a 500 rotax 2-stroke but didnt remember the 80's frame and if u kinda think about it a little they could have a new 250r frame with 500 rotax 2-stroke

there was rumor of a 500 rotax injected 2 stroke and a 450 injected 4 stroke, the most recent thing was the 450 is comming and it will be the most technologically advanced atv ever built and it is supposed to be faster than the ds and out holeshot the renegade.

I herd someone over at hylifter mention today that the 450 sport was going to be a twin with EFI. Anyone else here that.

As far as a smaller renegade, I bet you see a 650 real soon and maybe a 500. As far as the weight issues goes, I doubt that changes much, I just think they want the renegade to fit into several different 4x4 GNCC race classes just like how they went with the Outlander last year. That ESPN deal got them a lot of press and they had to put a 650 on the market in a hurry to be able to enter that series. If the Renegade will pass and be able to enter that series next year, I bet we see a 650 version anouced soon. But the weight of the 500,650, 800 engines are all likely the same since they are all the same engine ecept with bore and stroke changes.
