Has anyone bought cams from them lately ? My engine builder heard a rumor that that won't do custom grinds anymore. Is this true ? Does anyone know where some custom cams can be done at ?

Your builder commented on that to me in a pm also, but he read that incorrectly. What I believe was meant by the comment was that the way he has gone about everything made it so he could not get them.

And rcoop, HPR will get a set of cams in any grind most people want. Just some info for you....

 

I didn't know my builder Gary Carlson got on these forums. Hi Gary. Hpr uses Web so that must not be a true rumor thanks Dragon now i know we can still get custom ground cams from Web if we need them.

 

If you were being honest about "your builder" on this, then my bad. However, with everything that you have instigated I will always figure you to be causing an issue. And according to Randall, they use many supliers. I did not say that it was web cam. I do not know who they use for what. I do know that they can be contacted and provided info on the grind that is wanted and they will get it.

 

I'm very serious. I have no clue what Randall said. Gary was told by a wholesale supplier that web would no longer grind custom cams only shelf grinds. I was just curious if anybody else heard that. If you don't take my post serious then please don't respond you are only wasting everyones time.

 

Believed you or not, I did answer the question of whether or not you can get a custom grind. No time was wasted by me, but thanks for playing.

Was you able to get a set of custom grind cams made by Web?

 

I chatted with WEB last week, they are still doing custom grinds, and they are GREAT to work with!!! look they have shelf grinds that work, and if you have cores they will sit down and design a grind for your build and be in the ballpark, my grinds did exactly what they were designed to do at the RPM the were set for, if my riding skills inprove and I loose another 50 lbs, ill get another set ground for a more agressive curv and a bit more RPM.
No one say's you have to buy off the self, its just WEBS and RWR cams are good all around cam specs, if yoru dragging, hill shooting, yeah you need an edge, give em a call!
