I have thought about building a kit but because ds frames differ in some areas as much as 3/8 of an inch I personally wouldnt feel right about producing a "one fits all kit" with measurements showing were to cut that may not provide proper engine alignment or worse. my bikes are all hand built and every one is slightly different but once the the complete process is explained and shown with enough detail I think anyone with the proper tools and a decent ability to fabricate and follow instructions should be able to build a nice reliable machine using whatever engine they choose . the design process should apply to inferior "non DS " chassis as well . That baby got a Busa??? SWEEEEEEET!!!

One of the other Tom Pro Rail guy is getting 600HP out of his Turbo'd Busa! I'm sure that's on the edge. 300HP is very doable.

100MPH up that Mt. is FLYIN' - Heck anything over 55 mph up that hill will win 90% of the daily races that go on there. Once you get into the mid 60's the number that can compete on any given weekend really goes down.

Where are you finding these crate engines? How much are they running? (Answer in a PM if you want). Great to hear you can pick them up. I'm guessin' a pretty good price.

Just don't sell the 700 until you get one of these done. Not worth missing a trip. . . ya still gotta play!

saw that one too but by the time I get it shipped I would have around 1600 in it and I can do better. his reserve price is $1000 + $560 to ship. would rather buy a whole bike and get everything I need. Im working on several now, one for $2500 and one for $3000

You must have good insurance for your wife to give you a go ahead. Sounds wild, hope you anodize the frame.

GREAT NEWS GREG! I hope you keep us all posted on your build progress. I learned alot from your other Bombusa build. Can't wait to see your new design. Started our 3rd 1000. Once you start building these things , it's a TOTAL ADDICTION!! My brain never shuts down. " I should 've done this ,,I should've done that ! ,,I can do this better, need to change this... etc. , etc....

Good luck

thanks , my wife wants me to build more .LOL, she knows I never end up keeping them long and I never loose money on them . Budtbar, (Im terrible with names, sorry) 03 on back were larger bikes. wider and longer and the 04 on had the smaller headlight as well which I personally dont like as much. oh and by the way, did anyone see majorechos 1000cc ds on ebay?? was supposed to be on today I thought.

going to pick up 1st of the 2 DS's I need tomorrow morning . its a 2000 thats all stock with original tires and comes with a set of sand gecko paddles on wheels . its a good running bike I guess but Ive only seen 4 pics of it and it looks clean. for $2500 I dont think I can complain to much. also made an offer on a local 03 baja. may or may not get that one. still cant find Majorecho's bike on ebay and he told me he started it. anyone else seen it??
