Very impressive for Bombardier/Can-Am to make such aggressive showing in the early stages of this race. But like in years past and gone, it seems the Dakar results never really amplify the American public.

In the quad category, Juan Manuel Gonzalez, nicknamed ?Pedrega?, is the leader of the eight quads that still remain in the race. DS 650X 13 quads started.

This is a rest day after 7 stage. Eight stages to go.

Dakar is the toughest and most endurance race out there... Not many bikes/atvs will finish. 8 of 13 DS remaining is pretty good. Amazin to see a shee in 2nd.
The DS has nothin to loose and nothin to prove in these long endurance race's!

Just prooves to the none believers that the ds is still and will be for a very long time the king of endurance/desert races. Nothing can match the durablity and strength of the ds...keep in mind these are mostly STOCK ds's with just a pipe and filter for add on power and gearing of course.
