it has been said that the renegade has a rough ride... but what is it accually being compared two? Is it reallly that rough riding or does it have a comparable ride to the outy 800 or the Kawi BF 750i?:

The ride is not rough it's just stiffer. Overall at the end of the day your body will be less tired while going faster on the Renegade. Don't even compare a Brute with the Outty or Renegade, IMO they are not close when it comes to handling or ride. (We allready know Can-Am's are faster)
Last week we all swapped rides, I couldn't wait to get my Renegade back. Every rider basically said their next machine would be a Renegade if they could afford one. It is that good!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think the right word is "rough" when describing the ride. I have one and rode it for about 40 miles. I came off a 06 Cat 650 which is generally considered to have a nice ride. I can easily say that I like the ride of the Reny more. I would describe it as firm and aggressive, but not harsh or rough at all. It still rides very nice and the control level that you feel is simply unmatched from everything else I have riden.
I did ride a 800 Outy on the same day as my first ride on the Reny, and the Outy is a little more plush, but not better feeling overall. Buy the way- smoked the 800 Outy in drags pretty good too. (Although the factory ATR's on the Renegade only measure about 24" which would have a lot to do with the power delivery) So far, only good things to say- so far.
