Default First trip to St. Anthony's this June

We are planning our first trip the St. Anthony's this June, no hard dates yet, just thats the only month that is going to work for us.

Some questions for those of you that have been there:

1) We plan to stay at the BLM campground due to the rates. How is the BLM campgound?

2) Is there dune camping there like Glamis or Sand Mountain NV?

3) How is the weather in June? I looked at weather.com averages for Idaho Falls, but do not fully trust their predictions.

4) Where is a good place to overnight in Nevada between Winnemucca and Elko? We will be in a motorhome so only need a parking spot, but our friends will be pulling a toy hauler and need a room.

Thanks in advance!!

Scott

Either Winnemucca or Elko are good places to stay. Heck if you go to Elko you can come stay at our house. You can plug right in to us. We are just over the hill about 10miles from Elko.

The BLM campground is nice. They don't have alot of tree's but it is nice and right by all the big attractions. The weather should be good. It usually is anyway.
They don't have sand camping that I have ever seen.

Good luck. Let us know if we can help any time.

Tracy

Go sometime in the 2nd-3rd week of June. Hightower's group will be meeting some people out there, about 30 total. My group of 10 will be there with the Sandbros.com guys, prob 20 or so of them. I am sure Hightower will chime in and tell you about their nightly entertainment, 8ft projection screen, 5.1 surround sound, crawdad boil, etc, haha.

We went last year at the same time and the weather was PERFECT!!!
