Vortex or Ron Wood would be my #1 choices - just be sure to get the one for the corrrect model year.

I'm sure the MSD is a good choice as well - just more installation.

You don't NEED a CDI. You really NEED to shift sooner. Power will trail-off as you go too high in RPM's.

These bikes were made for the dunes, mine has went up everything I have pointed it at. You can lighten the beast by removing anyhting you deem uneccessary(sp) like fenders and skid plates, you can purchase or have your hubs lightened, remove the airbox, do the 520 chain conversion, change out the swingarm with an aftermarket one. The list goes on and on ,just depends on what you want to do.
