Vortex Problems

I had a Ron Woods CDI burn up when I did not have a good ground on the bike. The battery was grounded to the sub frame, but the sub frame to the main frame had fresh paint which did not conduct.
Check your grounds!!!!

Let me tell you a little story ERB. I bought two new vortex's for my small bikes. While installing them my mechanic removed my ground strap and forgot to reinstall it.Being the best and smartest mechanic i have when it only clicked the solonoid for the starter he grabed a 800 amp battery charger AND YES HE HOOKED IT TO THE BIKE. He them hit the switch boom the cdi blew a hole the size of a dime in its side filling my shop with smoke sending my other mechanics fleeing for there lifes.needles to say the cdi was no good as you will find yours is but just on a smaller scale.Oh by the way KMS did the same thing to one on my big bike.GROUNDS ARE IMPORTANT.

The woods is great Never even tried the big gun if your not racing hard core the vortex might be a tad much. And by the way Russlle karting is the most knowledgeable people i have met on the vortex you might give them a call see if they can test it????? talk to JR.
