ds light conversion question
#1
The plastic piece that goes over the front facia, with the two pins that require holes drilled in the facia is where my problem lies
are there supposed to be screws going into those holes in the pins to keep the pins in the hole, or do they just freeball it there?
what are you guys using to secure them to the facia?
also, i trimmed the front facia beyond the line I drew, using the new plastic piece, and the damn facia is STILL hitting the lamp before I can align the bolts to the bracket off the oil tank. I want to grind it down with a dremel, but I don't want to fack it all up
thanks guys

Having done the washer bit, make sure when it gets dark that you take it out and adjust your beam. I bet it hits low. The two new brackets are very flexible and easy to manipulate but if you're still running into clearance problems the bracket that the facia and trim piece mount to can also be bent out some to provide clearance and still have your light shine where you need it. Just a little input from someone who has done five of these conversions...

It's been a few years but. . .
Yes, you have to cut the crap out of that thing. Don't worry about it!
Alignment - I didn't have to do a thing.
The posts on the flashing piece are held on by these thin black sheet metal things that have a whole for the post but, are scrolled kinda. Just push them on and all is good.
What else?
Let me know if you need a picture. . . my front plastic is off right now ayways.
