I would make sure that your fuel tank vent hose is not plugged. Try taking off the cap and see if this cures your problem. If not make sure your carb is getting enough fuel take your line off and open your pitcock valve and make sure it flows freely.

Also you might check the fuel line. I had one that was breaking on the inside and getting pieces in the carb. Do you find anything in the carb when you clean it?

no it looks clean 2me but it runs fine then it gets in its moods back and forth back and forth i disconnected the air box and played with it then it ran fine for like 1 min started doing it again. But when i got it back from the shop it would only run good on the reserve and i would put it on ON and it would run funny so i just left it on reserve and it ran fine 4 a month until now.

Sounds like your pitcock valve is plugging up or your strainer screen is plugged. check the flow on your fuel line and see if your getting a good flow. Might be a stretch but check your diaphrame and make sure that you don't have any tears in it and the vent line off of your diaphrame is not plugged. sounds like a fuel flow problem. also check your plug and see if it is running lean or rich your problem could be you are getting to much fuel rather than not enough if this is the case go into the needle and seats of your carb and also check your float level.

Check those things and see if anything helps keep us posted. Good Luck

I had a simular problem once. Mine would bog every once in a while and I finally found it. I had bought an after market gas cap. There was some caulk or sealent in it to hold the rubber ring in it. A piece of it had fallen into the tank and every once in a while it would block the flow of gas. You might take the tank off and drain it and take the pitcock off also. Still sounds like a gas flow problem

You say it ran good on reserve for a while. Well the DS tank has a large reserve, so it feels like your out of gas. Look inside the tank and look at size pickups and makesure the fuel level is above, and if you can see the screens on the pitcock are clean. Does it run good with a full tank? Also like someone mentioned check your fuel cap, they plug real easy. Also the mile of vent hose under the tank pinches easy too. I know its frustratingGood luck.

Thats good advise. I ran mine out of gas and could still see gas in the tank. Put it on reserve and she ran again
